Total Lunar Eclipse on 28th September 2015 from home.
This Total Lunar Eclipse was special in that it was the coming together of a Lunar eclipse and a Super Moon, which occurs when the moon is closest to the earth. The next eclipse of this kind will not happen until 2033. Below is a selection of the photographs I took of the event. Unfortunately, I do not have a Lunar filter for my camera, so when the moon was 'silver' it appeared burnt out, but as the warm orange glow started to appear more detail appeared. It was well worth losing a nights sleep for, especially at my age. I definitely will not see the next one.
